Alibi Ledger, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you access or use our My Location Ledger mobile app, APIs, and other services (collectively, the "Services"). The Services enable users to record encrypted location data to a blockchain using patented technology (utility patent filed). By using the Services, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

We may collect the following types of information:

a. Information You Provide

  • Account information (name, email, phone number, or other identifiers).
  • Payment details (if applicable).
  • User-submitted data, such as feedback, support requests, or uploaded content.

b. Automatically Collected Information

  • Device information (hardware model, OS, browser type).

  • Cookies or local storage identifiers.

c. Location Information

The core of the Services involves recording your location in an encrypted format using a private key stored in a Secure Enclave on your device. This encrypted data is written to a blockchain (currently the World Chain blockchain, but may include any EVM-compatible blockchain). Your data is encrypted and can only be decrypted using your private key, which is held solely on your device and secured with a passkey you generate. We cannot access or retrieve your location data without your explicit permission.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • Communicate with you (support, updates, security alerts).
  • Customize your experience.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following cases:

  • With trusted service providers under confidentiality agreements.
  • When required by law, court order, or government request.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with notice where required).

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide Services, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Encrypted location data on the blockchain persists as per blockchain immutability but remains inaccessible without your key.

We use commercially reasonable safeguards, including encryption and Secure Enclave storage for keys, to protect data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, especially on decentralized blockchains.

7. Your Rights
